Why We Cap Sessions at 6 Members

One of the most common questions new members ask is: why are sessions limited to only 6 people? The answer is simple: more speaking time for everyone. **The problem with large classes** In a group of 15, you might speak for 4–5 minutes in a 90-minute session. That is not enough for real progress. The rest of the time you are listening — which helps, but it is not the same as practising output. **The Tokalot difference** With 6 members and one instructor, every person speaks for 12–15 minutes in a session. That is 3× more speaking practice than a traditional classroom. **Quality over quantity** The instructor can give individual feedback in a small group. They can notice specific issues with your pronunciation, grammar, or fluency and address them directly. This is impossible in a large class. **Social comfort** Smaller groups create a safer environment to make mistakes. You quickly get to know the other members and feel comfortable experimenting with new vocabulary and expressions. Our 6-member cap is not a limitation — it is the whole point. Book early, because spots fill up fast!
